Twin Daughters of an Imam in Kulgam, J&K, qualify NEET on Their First Attempt
The announcement of the NTA NEET Result 2023 has brought forth numerous captivating and unique success stories of candidates from diverse backgrounds. Once again, it has been proven that success knows no boundaries for determined aspirants.
In a remarkable achievement, twin sisters from Kulgam, Jammu & Kashmir, have qualified for the National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test-UG (NEET-UG) 2023 on their very first attempt. Syed Sabiya and Syed Bismah, with their supportive family and neighbors, have defied all odds to become an inspiration for NEET aspirants and those pursuing other exams in shaping their own futures.
Syed Sabiya and Syed Bismah, residents of Watoo village in the South Kashmir district of Noorabad, secured remarkable scores of 625 and 570 marks respectively in the highly competitive medical entrance examination. The NTA declared the NEET Result 2023 on June 13, 2023, which has since brought joy and pride to the home of these twin daughters of the Imam in Jammu & Kashmir. The achievement of the sisters has garnered an outpouring of congratulations from relatives, neighbors, and well-wishers.
The twins attribute their success to the unwavering support of their family members, teachers, and the benevolent community around them. Sabiya, who attended a local Islamic model school until Class 3 before enrolling in a private school, acknowledges the role her teachers played in instilling the belief that she could accomplish great things in life.
During an interview, Sabiya expressed her gratitude, saying, “Our parents have supported us immensely since our childhood. The people in our area have also boosted our morale. Everyone played a part in my success.” She further added, “Thanks to my teachers, I have nurtured the dream of becoming a doctor or an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer and making a significant impact.”
Bismah, in a similar vein, expressed her joy and gratitude for their good results, stating, “We are extremely happy with the results. We thank God for it. Our entire family is elated.” Bismah emphasized the strong bond between the sisters, mentioning how they relied on each other throughout their educational journey.
Reflecting on their accomplishment, Bismah stated, “We would have faced many more challenges if either of us had been alone. We supported and encouraged each other every step of the way to achieve this success.”
Sabiya shared her aspirations for both her and her sister, expressing, “I hope that both of us become competent doctors and serve our people.”
Their father, Sajad Hussain, the Imam (priest) at the local Jamia Masjid, believes in the importance of providing children with both religious and secular education. He expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am extremely pleased with their achievements, and I thank God. Both religious teachings and worldly education are important. I have taught my daughters about Islam, prayers, the Quran, and have also provided them with a proper school education.”
The twins emphasized the significance of concentration and self-awareness in qualifying for the NEET examination. They advised aspiring candidates to identify their weaknesses and seek assistance to overcome them.
